| TraiNDE UT 1.2 and Device Connected option are now available | ||
|
With TraiNDE UT 1.2, you can now directly plug our virtual mock-up into a real UT flaw detector! Still no block and no couplant to handle, and you can train on your own system wherever your want! You will benefit from the TraiNDE UT advantages (easy and fast set-up, all students can work on the same block, pertinent exercises, educational tools, etc.) without having to learn a new system, as you will use your own. As a manufacturer, you can travel and show your UT flaw detector with our virtual mock-up, without needing to carry dozens of heavy blocks to demonstrate the advantages of your device to the world! | CIVA 2020 SP2 is now available | ||

| New option available in CIVA: CIVA Script | ||

A new add-on option, awaited by many users, is available with CIVA 2020 SP2: CIVA Script. This paying option lets you drive CIVA through Script files. Automation, optimization, characterization, customization, integration: with CIVA Script, you can save significant time and be much more efficient in your simulation works, especially for large scale computations and analysis work! | Online full training sessions | ||

Under the current circumstances, considering how travel has been made difficult by the pandemic, the EXTENDE team has decided to adapt and to open up online full training sessions to CIVA software. Thus, for a training session usually under the course of 4 days of attendance, EXTENDE offers a format made of 2 online sessions of 2 days each (6 hours per day). Feel free to contact us if you wish to register to one of these sessions. |

On August 19th, 2020, CIVA users from across the U.S.A. and Canada virtually attended our first ever CIVA User Group meeting. With approximately 40 people attending and four users presenting on their applications of CIVA UT, we plan to have another CIVA User Group meeting in 2021! | CIVA Tip: Max beam only | ||

A new feature called "Max beam only" has been developed in the "Beam computation" module of CIVA UT to reduce the size of the result file and the computation time. Thanks to this option, it is possible to directly obtain the beam in Transmission/Reception at the end of the calculation process, whereas by default, a post-processing is necessary.
