| Renewal of EXTENDE's Qualiopi certification | ||
|
EXTENDE has just obtained the renewal of its Qualiopi certification, which has been extended until November 2027. Qualiopi is a French quality standard for training centers. On top of our ISO9001 certification, this Qualiopi certification confirms the high level of the "CIVA" and "Reliability in NDE" training programs provided by EXTENDE to its customers. For our French customers, this certification also means that any OPCO can include our training in their reference catalog, opening up the possibility to help funding your registration to these courses. |

)| Developing flaw sizing methodology in TFM by EDM calibration blocks | ||

We would like to focus on one article recently published by the e-Journal of Nondestructive Testing on NDT.net: In this paper, Dr. Mohammad Bajgholi, from the "Ecole de Technologie Supérieure de Montréal", and in collaboration with Hydro Quebec, focuses on the capacities of the TFM ultrasonic technique for accurately sizing defects and positioning them. The application deals with weld flaws. Based on EDM notches representative of various weld defect's types, Dr. Bajgholi evaluates the results obtained with different acquisitions systems. The flaw size and position being perfectly mastered in a simulation model, CIVA is largely used to illustrate and validate the results. Good agreements between mock-up specs, CIVA modelling and TFM experimental results are obtained. This study highlights the importance of adopting a tailored approach to flaw sizing, considering the unique context and requirements of each inspection scenario. |
